An attempt to make De Bono's thinking hats simple enough to reach everyone.
We nominated 6 persons to wear 6 different hats and tuned them to De Bono's way of thinking.Everyone were given the same topic but see how everyone differs...how differently each one thinks.
Red hat - Intuitive
Ennakku enna thonodhu naa...vadaiku neraiya ulundhu venum..salt venum...oil venum...cooking theriyanum..saapida allu venum.
White hat - Informative
Ingredients: Dhal, Water, Salt, Oil, Green chillies, Pepper
Accessories: Kadai, Gas stove, Spoon
Optional: Curd, Sambhar
Yellow hat - Constructive
Procedure : Grind dhal,water and add salt.Add some pepper and chooped green chillies to the mixture. Make balls n deep fry.
Tips: Wash dhal thoroughly and soak in water before grinding. Add salt before grinding dhal so that mixture doesnt become too watery.
Black hat - Cautious
If u mix too much water in dhal, u will not be able to make balls.If u put too much salt then u can eatIf u fry it too deeply then vadai will dissolve in oil. If u dont open windows in kitchen while frying u will sweat lots n half of the oil will b in ur face.
Green hat - Creative
Try adding some pepper and curry leaves in the dhal mixture before frying. U can also add greens or finely chopped vegetables. Diabetes patients, old people, people on diet can bake the vada in oven without using oil and have.The prepared vada can be dropped in curd, sambhar, mor kulambhu and create varieties like dahi vada, sambhar vada, mor vada.You can also drop plain vada in sweetened coconut milk...It will be yummy yummy.
Blue hat - Reflective
Availability of ingredients : High...easily available in all shops.
Time taken to prepare vada : Max 1/16 person hours...i.e. 30 mins
No of persons required : Min 1 person
Customer availabilty : High....anyone and everyone can eat this.
Room for future expansion: High...many new varieties can be created.
So, given a similar topic hereafterwards everyone dont think in the same angle....and dont think towards a single aspect.....this is what our education teaches us....moulds us into a hard stuff.....think differently in all these 6 angles...let there be conflicts....let there be differences...consolidate all of them and arrive at a gud conclusion.
